October 2011

This month was especially busy for Big Blue. "Suit Of Lights" concluded the tracking of their album with Chris Marinaccio.

"The Tea Club" came in to mix a recording they had done live at Progday 2011 at Storybook Farm in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. www.progday.net Dasher took the helm assisted by Noz once he got done with "Suit Of Lights". Matthew "Vus" Dake and Noz continued tracking for the "Feartech" Album in Studio B. Matt Messenger tracked and mixed "Nothing But Robots" latest project. Joe Grillo from "The Boomers" came in to mix a song with Rumblefish and Noz. "Last Perfect Thing" were back in again to continue tracking songs for their next full length. Confused? Yeah us too... no not really. The album that is about to be released was finished earlier this year. They have since had a lineup change and have reformed one of the earlier iterations of the band to record this latest effort with Drummer Chris Donofrio and Bass Guitarist Mike Smith.

Jeff 9/11 Canas has had a slew of R&B and Rap clients this month including Teddy Mercer, Raekwon, Black Envelope, Nova Bars and Rob Jackson.  And in amongst all of this, we all managed to visit AES this year at the Jacob Javitts Center on the 21st. Happy Halloween Everyone!!!!

The album features Roy Van Tassel on Drums, Trevor Dunn (Mr Bungle) on Bass, Dan McGowan (The Tea Club) on Guitars and Billy Carrion Jr on Horns. The tracking of this record is being split up over the next few weeks of Sept and a few weekends in October, due to the availability of the musicians on the record.

The Dead TricksAugust 2011

This month Brooklyn Punkers, The Dead Tricks commenced tracking a 5 song EP in Studio B, which was produced by Mike Gallo (Agnostic Front) and tracked by Chris Noz Marinaccio. The band produced a stellar record for their debut offering and we look forward to hearing a lot more of this band in the future.

Catch Wild commenced Mixing with Dasher in Studio A.

Rumblefish, Dasher, Noz and Myself attended a Mastering for Last Perfect Thing and Catch Wild up at West West Side Mastering with Alan Douches. Dasher mixed 11 songs for Tomas from Streetlight Manefesto. Tomas has a side project which he has been writing and recording on the road.

Miss Jen Garcia returned to do more tracking and mixing with Jeff "9/11" Canas. Jeff also tracked and mixed artist Nova Bars. You can check out the music he did here at www.novabars.com

Noz, Debris and Flipper (the Australian Intern) helped re-track drums on the famous "Lost Tapes Recordings" from Tim's old speed metal band "Feartech". The tracks were previously recorded on an 8 track recorder and were never released. It seems about time to dust off those cobwebs and finish it.
